AL 209
Sponsored by HRPA - Grand Valley Student/New Grad Peer Networking Group
We’re doing something a little different this time. After a few really good meetings this year which touched on resume tips, Linked-In profiles, etc… We thought it would be appropriate to dig in our heels with our resumes/profiles and get interactive.
We are having an “Interactive Resume Workshop”. All attendees are asked to BRING YOUR MOST UP-TO-DATE resume. In fact, bring multiple copies!! You may also want to bring laptops if you have them. I am hoping to have a few “recruitment experts” to help us but we will use information we’ve received over the course of the year from the experts we’ve already enjoyed. We will also use the discerning eyes of eachother as we do “20-second first impression” scans and use other fun techniques to make our resumes more pleasing to the recruiter’s eye.
Come with a willingness to share your resume (we know, this can be humbling/tough!) and with an openness to constructive feedback.
We are really hoping for a good turn-out… it should be a lot of fun and is NOT just for people on the job hunt. It’s always prudent to keep your resume up-to-date!!
Please let us know if you plan to attend by Wednesday April 18th!!
Thanks!
Christine & Joanna
P.S. if anyone is writing the NKE in May and trying to find others to study with…. Let us know and we can try to connect you!
